The Deadeye Classic Series rods were designed around Okuma's UFR tip technology. This process blends unidirectional fiber over 24-ton carbon in the extended tip section of the rod to increase lifting strength and power by as much as 400%. This technology provides for the ultimate in strength without sacrificing sensitivity so that you can feel even the lightest of bites. Coupled with a custom painted Magda Pro DXT Linecounter, the Dead Eye Classic Combo is ideal for Great Lake Trolling. The mechanical linecounter function measures the exact distance in feet that your lure or bait is to the boat. Constructed of corrosion-resistant graphite spools and a multi-disc Carbonite drag system, the Magda Pro is extremely durable. Additional features include an Ergo grip handle knob design, Self-Lubricating Gear System, and automatic trip spool engaging mechanism.All Deadeye Classic Series rods utilize stainless steel guide frames with titanium oxide guide inserts as well as specialized stainless steel guide tip to prevent inserts from popping out. All Deadeye Classic jigging rods have a cork split grip or cork full grip configuration, and all trolling models have a shrink tube rear grip configuration as well as a comfortable triangular EVA foregrip to reduce rod twisting.
